Schedule of Events and other Important Stuff for
Your Moorhead High 50th Reunion
July 28th & 29th

WHO: You are signed up and ready for the fun so here’s some important information.
WHAT/WHEN:

• Meet and Greet – Friday evening 7 – 11 p.m., at Moorhead Billiards, 701 Center
  Avenue in downtown Moorhead. It’ll be a casual evening of visiting with classmates.
  Moorhead Billiards has a menu of snacks, burgers, etc. and of course a full bar. You will
  be responsible for your own purchases. PLEASE stop at the table and get a NAME TAG.
• BIG Event – Saturday evening 5:30 – 11 p.m., at the Hjemkomst Center, 202 1st
  Avenue North, Moorhead near the 1ST Avenue bridge that crosses over the Red River to
  Fargo.
  Dress code: “medium dressy” but no need for ball gowns or suits and ties!
  Evening plans:
  – A Jazz Trio during cocktail hour to get you in the mood (starting at 5:30)
  – A buffet of many tasty delights (serving begins at 7:00)
  – A short program about the Class of ’67
  – Great Tunes of the 60’s and 70’s with DJ “Pirate Radio”
  – Most important: lots of time to visit and catch up with classmates you may
  not have seen for many years (maybe even 50!)
• Hjemkomst Presentation 5:00 – 5:30. As you may know, the Hjemkomst center houses
  the Hjemkomst Ship – a wooden Viking ship built by Robert Asp, the father of
  classmate Doug Asp. Doug was one the crewmembers who made the historic voyage on
  the ship from Duluth, MN to Norway. He will make a presentation on the story of ship
  and the journey beginning at 5:00 p.m. for anyone interested. It will be in a room at
  the Hjemkomst Center.
• Recognition of classmates no longer with us Sadly, we have lost many members of
  our class. To help us remember them, the committee is asking anyone who may have
  photos of deceased members to send them to us so we can make a photo display.

• Memorabilia The decoration committee is asking for all who have items from our MHS
  era to bring it/them to the Saturday evening event. There will be special tables set up
  for all to enjoy seeing your mementos of the past.
• Information on “missing” classmates It’s been a challenge to find all 400+ classmates
  and we haven’t been able to find several. If you have any idea where or how we might
  contact those on the “Lost Classmate” list, (see “Where Are They?” on the website)
  please let us know. We’d like to post a complete contact list of classmates on the
  website after the reunion. www.moorheadspuds67.com)
• Wanna help decorate? If you’d like to help decorate for the Saturday evening event,
  join us starting at 11 a.m. Saturday (July 29th) at the Hjemkomst Center. We’ll be in
  the Auditorium.
• Photos from the Reunion Event We will have a professional photographer at the
  Saturday night event shooting candid photos of folks from 6-10 p.m….so grab your
  friends and track him down for a special shot. We will post ALL the high-resolution
  photos on the website after the reunion so you can download them free and print
  them yourself.
